UNISON Dorset - They Don't Support Biological Women - Email To Members

Women of Dorset have known that activists inside Dorset Council (& outside) have been putting them under extreme pressure regarding trans rights.

The ex-CEO confirmed to us as much in an email & we hope that the Supreme Council ruling can now bring greater balance back to the Council.

One of those pressure groups is UNISON Dorset, who've been contacting members and stating that 'This ruling will not protect women's rights but has put them back by decades'.

Below is a screenshot of the email that UNISON Dorset has sent to members & is continuing to pressurise Dorset Council following the Supreme Court confirmation that the definition of woman is biological.

There is no support from UNISON Dorset for biological women or confirmation of their rights.

Quote from Becky Brookman - Branch Secretary 'In UNISON we are proud to say that trans women are women, trans men are men, and non-binary people are non-binary'.

Another quote 'We are speaking to other community groups to see how we now campaign against this ruling & I'll be in touch with more details shortly. We have also requested Dorset Council put a message out to staff to offer support to our trans colleagues and communities'.

This comes as no surprise as this direction has come from Steve North - President - UNISON. UNISON and UNISON Dorset believe that they're above the law.
