Unlike Tobias Ellwood who has a full team of staff paid for via the Parliament staff allowance, as a candidate, I rely entirely on a team of volunteers, many of whom are supporting me around full time jobs and caring responsibilities.  The election announcement took us somewhat by surprise and it's only been in the last few weeks when I've had a volunteer dedicated to ensuring that correspondence is answered. I want to find a way forward which always upholds existing legislation - including the provisions for single sex spaces and services as set out in the Equality Act. And a path forward which also supports Trans people as one of the most marginalised communities in the UK. Which I'm sure we both agree is the constructive approach needed. Dr Laura Favaro has recently given an interview to Jill Foster (Daily Mail) regarding her treatment by her former employer, UCL.   Laura's research revealed that female academics were being bullied into silence over their views on gender. Read the full interview here. If you are able to support Laura her Crowdfunder is open. Laura is a member of Women of Dorset and to say that we're proud of her very courageous stand is an understatement.  We completely support Laura in her fight for justice and recognition of sex based rights.

Chris Loder MP for West Dorset was recently interviewed by Steve Harris of Radio Solent. Chris had received concerns from parents over children and young people being prescribed puberty blockers in Dorset, especially in light of the recent news that the NHS was stopping the prescribing of  puberty blockers.
