Pan Dorset Childrens Safeguarding Partnership - The Cass Review and Transgender Trend Reports

Image
Following publication of the Cass Review and the Transgender Trend Report - The Ideological Capture of Dorset - Nowhere To Turn we contacted the Pan Dorset Childrens Safeguarding Partnership and requested that the reports be discussed at their next meeting (25th April 2024). We never received a response from the Partnership but recently noticed via their Minutes  (Item 7) that they did discuss the reports. An action from those Minutes is that NHS Dorset provides a response to the Cass Review. Everyone involved in strategic safeguarding in Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole is now aware of the Cass and Transgender Trend Reports. We await the response from NHSDorset

Women of Dorset have contacted those standing as PPC 's in the eight Dorset constituencies.  These are the questions we have asked:- Women of Dorset was established to protect womens  sex based rights & safeguarding in Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.  We're an eclectic mix of women who believe that a woman is an adult human female and that:- the law allows for single sex sevices and most people want to them but they are under attack; organisations and staff are afraid even though everyone knows the difference between male and female; language has become a battleground and everyone is walking on egg shells; no one wants to be the one to tell someone that their sense of gender identity cannot override rules that protect the safety, fairness and dignity of everyone. Confusion makes services less inclusive and less safe.  It creates conflict and it isn't kind, least of all to women.  It is up to the Government to put this right.  Therefore, we ...

Dr Laura Favaro has recently given an interview to Jill Foster (Daily Mail) regarding her treatment by her former employer, UCL.   Laura's research revealed that female academics were being bullied into silence over their views on gender. Read the full interview here. If you are able to support Laura her Crowdfunder is open. Judge rules Bournemouth, Christchuch and Poole council unreasonable to dismiss women’s safety concerns as ‘moralistic’

Image
The High Court has ruled today that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council’s policy of having no limit on the number of strip clubs is unlawful. The Court decided that the Council was wrong to ignore concerns that strip clubs contribute to the abuse, harassment and violence against women and girls in society. Following a merger of the three Council districts in 2019, a consultation was launched by BCP to determine the number of strip clubs it could licence. A high number of responses to the consultation expressed serious concerns that strip clubs impact negatively on attitudes towards, and treatment of, women and girls by contributing to a culture in which they are abused, harassed and subjected to sex-based violence. The council explicitly ignored any concerns that focused on these societal harms, dismissing them as ‘moral objections’. Following this, on 9 November 2022, the Council adopted a licensing policy that allowed for an unlimited number of strip clubs. Our client, ...
