Image
Dr Laura Favaro has recently given an interview to Jill Foster (Daily Mail) regarding her treatment by her former employer, UCL.   Laura's research revealed that female academics were being bullied into silence over their views on gender. Read the full interview here. If you are able to support Laura her Crowdfunder is open. Laura is a member of Women of Dorset and to say that we're proud of her very courageous stand is an understatement.  We completely support Laura in her fight for justice and recognition of sex based rights.

Academic freedom for feminists - Dr Laura Favaro - Crowdfunder - Member of Women of Dorset

Here at Women of Dorset we are very proud of one of our members, Dr Laura Favaro. Laura is an academic who has been researching the silencing, discrimination and harassment of female academics who raise questions about gender identity theory, including those that are ‘gender critical’ such as herself.  As a consequence, Laura has been ostracised, subjected to false complaints, had her research stopped, research data taken away and lost her job. Laura is raising funds because she is having to take her case to an Employment Tribunal. To find out more and access the crowdfunder click here

Yesterday, 4th March 2024, Dorset Women had its fourth meet-up. We had another successful evening talking about all things terfy in the #BCP and #Dorset areas. Along with developing an action plan. Many of us have been in contact over the past couple of years but since November 2023 we've been meeting face to face. As a group of gender critical women, who believe in sex based rights, we're pleased to report that the group is growing in it's number of members and progress is being made in protecting womens rights and upholding safeguarding. Many more meet-ups are planned. Watch this space.
